If there is something that you would like for me to address or speak on in more detail, please be sure to email your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will prayerfully address the topic or question. -- Dr. Nelson
Dear Dr. Nelson, what does it mean to be a Music Minister?
What are the responsibilities and duties really expected?
Dr. Nelson answers:
“It means commitment and the meeting the qualifications such as music training, background in music, and of course the need to be saved and Holy Ghost filled. You see to it that every phase of music provided to the church ( however much music is taking place from the Sunshine Band to the main Sanctuary Choir) is appropriately suited. Hire only and make sure that qualified people are managing over each one of these entities –singing, directing & playing. You need to be a people person. People that don’t work well with others IS NOT qualified to lead. It takes much patience and compassion when dealing with a body of people who make up a choir or music dept.
Thank you for your question submit.” – Dr. Bettye Ransom Nelson
